UNDERWATER HOCKEY, a new sport I'm falling in love with

Well, I'm easily falling in love with water sports rite? so, I found this sport interesting, simply because I get to practice in routine, twice a week. within 3 months, I gain soooo much from it. Better posture, more focus attention, better sleep and better shape (who dosn't want that?) ... but the best of all, is friendship. As u all know, I like to meet and know new people, thus by joining this club (Jakarta Underwater Hockey Club) I get so many new friends.  And now after only 10 months, I'm trusted to be the club's PR. Such an honor. And I'm proud of it :)

Although I am a newbie, but the sport is not new at all. Underwater Hockey was started in the United Kingdom by Alan Blake in 1954 where it was originally called Octopush. Originally called "Octopush" (and still known primarily by that name in the United Kingdom today) the original rules called for teams of eight players (hence "octo-"), a bat reminiscent of a tiny shuffleboard stick, called a "pusher" (hence the "-push"), an uncoated lead puck called a "squid", and a goal known at first as a "cuttle" but soon thereafter a "gully".

FREEDIVING... Free what? Diving for free?

Yeah that was also my first expression when I heard about freediving. "Is it diving for free?"

Well, apparently, in the world of underwater, there are a lot of form of underwater sports, one of it I have learned and enjoyed so much, SCUBADIVING. Now, when I knew that there was another form of diving, I was not easily attracted to it. The more I researched through interviews (with a freediving instructor), reading blogs, websites & watching youtube, I finally decided to give it a try.

So, after 7 months of researching, I join a freediving trip to Pramuka Island, continued with practice (pool sessions) in Kridaloka Senayan Swimming Pool, I began to fall in love with it.I join the freediving community LET'S FREEDIVE to learn about the technicality of freediving.

So what is freediving?

According to aidainternational.org, Freediving is the most natural and serene way to explore the depths of the oceans with minimal impact. It is also the ultimate way to free yourself and spend more time enjoying the beauty and silence of the sea.
Well, I guess, you really have to try yourself to find that out.
